The Palace of Arts in association with the Budapest Festival Orchestra organises the Budapest Mahler Festival for the 6th time, opening on September 9th with a concert of the NDR Symphony Orchestra conducted by Christoph von Dohnányi.

The exhibition entitled “Behind the Counter” introduces thirty contemporary visual artists and art groups, whose work reflects on the economic processes and phenomena of the past 20 years of the post-socialist region, the Eastern block.
